Why is Independence Gardens sponsoring a fundraiser for this project? First, we believe that it is important for our business to support the non-profit organizations in our community that are helping people enjoy the many benefits of gardening, as well as encourage the people we work with to engage in the broader gardening community.
Perhaps more importantly, our mission is to help people create better relationships with their natural and built environments, and we see the Grange offering an opportunity for our clients and our colleagues to do just that. Rural grange halls are gathering places for communities to break bread, support one another in times of need, and celebrate the bounty of the land. The Urban Grange at Zenger Farm is this, and more: it is a place where people can reconnect with each other and the land, building on existing assets and creating new ones.
Tickets for our event are available via EventBrite, and we really hope to see you there! But if you can’t make the event but still want to contribute to the cause, you also have that option.
